Joseph Antebi, 25, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 16, the Township of Ocean Police Department said in a news release. A hometown wasn't immediately available for Antebi.

Ocean Township police responded to a vandalism report at a home on West Park Avenue. The caller reported someone sprayed antisemitic messages on the paver wall before running away from the home.

An arriving officer looked at the graffiti and spoke with the caller, who gave the officer a video of the incident. Police got a license plate number off the video and Antebi was identified as the suspect.

Officers went to Antebi's home and saw him leaving in his vehicle. Police tried to stop him but he refused and officers ended their pursuit after a brief chase.

The officer who first went to the scene later found Antebi in Eatontown after the chase ended. He was arrested after "a brief struggle."

Antebi was charged with bias intimidation, eluding, obstruction, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and several motor vehicle violations.

Antebi was held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution to await a first court appearance.
